I just bought myself Corsair H80i cooler to overclock my FX 6100. It came with thermal paste pre-applied.

Is pre-applied paste reliable?

Also, I don't have the retention bracket right now, and currently finding it online (AM3+). I bought my PC pre-built by iBuypower which was dumb for me. The cooler that came with it didn't need retention bracket so they delivered my system without the retention bracket.

All I found online are plastic brackets. My question is AMD retention bracket all made of plastic? Is there metal-made bracket available?

I wonder about the reliability of plastic bracket, I don't want it to break somehow after a long time.

The stock paste that Corsair uses is alright. If you're missing any brackets go talk to Corsair and they'll send you some as long as you have your lot code (it's on the side of your coolers radiator) and your invoice.

Yes they are all usually plastic. It's fine.
