Would an owner or someone well informed please tell me the length of the Windforce 3x Gigabyte 970? I see dimensions listed on new egg and amazon and such, but 16" seems Very Large, I believe it may be the box size? Can someone confirm the actual specs of this card? Thanks

The average length of higher end graphics cards are usually around 10-12". Not even a 7990 is 16" long so it's probably inaccurate. I know the windforce coolers are known for being quite large but I feel like the employee who did the measurements just measured the box as well. So it's 12 inches.

L=312mm, W=129mm, H=43mm, source:

Yep these are the listed specs of the card. However I found with my current Gigabyte card, the listed specs include the metal IO shroud. It means the length of the card that the case has to accommodate from PCI adaptor slot to front of case is less. This is what many of us want to know as the Gigabyte is large. I can seat about 305mm so I have a chance with this card. I recon it would be resting up to my HDD stack though. Hahah.
