Hi all,

Just installed a new GTX 460 after frying the last one updating to 344.11 drivers. New one is working fine, but it has stopped the Marvell Yukon 88e8055 NIC from working (says not connected even though ethernet cable it plugged in). It was completely fine before I installed the new GPU. I tried installing the drivers from the website, but no change.

I have taken the NIC out and plugged it in to another computer and it works fine, although it says the network adapter is realtek on this PC? I'm assuming it's not the card which is broken then. What could be the cause of this?

Thanks.

You sure you werent using the onboard NIC? try plugging the ethernet cable into that (if there is one)

It was definitely plugged in to the NIC slot. When plugging in to the onboard I couldn't get a connection either, just the yellow exclamation mark.

Enabled PnP in BIOS.
Took out NIC and plugged ethernet into onboard adapter.
Booted up PC.
Shut down PC.
Plugged ethernet back in to NIC.
Internet now works.

God knows why - but it fixed it. Feel free to delete thread if needed.
