I heard that you shouldn't sli two aftermarket gpu's because it'll blow air in each other, and blow hot air around which is bad. I saw the reference 970's with back plates which should solve the first problem, but reference cards don't oc as well as aftermarket gpus. Is it possible to install backplates yourself? And some people said my case case has many expandable fan slots. So would that solve the hot air being blown around issue?? HEEEELP (My specs are in my signature)

750 watts is just fine..... 850 was good for two 780s's ... these use 100 watts less each. The EVGA B2 750 watter is a crazy $50 after $25 MIR .... ridiculously good price for a very decent PSU.

I'd suggest the MSI or Gigabyte models, this round .... the EVGA has a defect in cooler mounting....the heat sink misses the GPU.

Gigabyte, Asus and MSI all use uses a non reference design

The temps on the 900's are good, and with a decently ventilated case it shouldn't be an issue. Just watch your temps and add more fans if you need to. It's more likely an issue of affordability than heat. As far as the back plates, it comes with some already... if there aren't third party ones yet there will be soon. Your PSU will be fine at 850W.
