Hi everyone,

I've been trying to solve my problem all evening and just can't seem to figure it out, I'm getting really desperate, hopefully someone could please help me out :

I have a Lenovo y510p ( specs are right here: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y5... ) originally with windows 8.

I updated to windows 8.1, everything was working alright (had to some minor tweeks but nothing serious in the beginning) until one day I tried to open rayman Origins on Steam. The game used to work but for some reason it crashed and I got the message "Sound Driver failed to initialize. Check readme.txt for more information.

After that, I got a red cross on my audio saying "Audio service is inactive". I updated all my drivers, problem persists...
I can't open control panel or windows update, they both crash whenever I try.
My computer seems to say everything is working fine and is up to date, but I still can't get it to work...

Now I'm stuck with a laptop that has no sound and I can't do anything about it...Could someone please help me figure this out?

Thank you for your time.
