help with bf4 performance

i5 4690
r9 280x turbo duo
corsair carbide spec-03
2x4gb g skill aegis 1600
500gb
thermaltake smart 730 87% modular
thermaltake 3.0 performer

in 64 player server i sometimes go down to 30+fps specially when i snipe. the question is what is limiting my performance? the cpu or the r9 280x? thanks!

when i was on 20 players it was okay. i was on 60-90 the whole game.

with 64 players that is when i had some dips. now im not sure if it is with the cpu because of more extensive cpu usage or my gpu is the problem because of the bigger maps and more load to the gpu

I dont really think it's any problem with your system. Your system is setup really well. I have problems sometimes with frame drops and I'm running crossfire 280's and basically the same processor.Especially on the maps with 64 players.

you also drop to 30+? i feel uncomfortable with the 30+ fps while im sniping so im thinking going crossfire

Not down to 30 but it drops. Crossfire isnt a bad idea since you already have a 280X. I'm not sure how much it'll help but there is atleast a slight improvement.

what is the lowest frame you get?



It'll dip into the 40s sometimes...doesnt happen often though
