So i plan on upgrading/making completly new pc(mainly gaming like guild wars 2,borderlands,BioShock and Wither i love rpgs/games with good story and mmos).

My current pc has:
Gpu:Radeon 7770
Cpu:Athlon x4 750k
Cpu cooler:Scythe katana 4
Mobo:AsRock FM2A85X Extreme4
Psu:Zalman ZM500-GS
Ram: 3 sticks of 2g each at 1333 (2 same ones and 1 diferent no clue from who they are old xD)
Case is like 8 year old case that came with my first pc with single core 1.8ghz cpu <3

For next 2 months i dont plan on upgrading my gpu since i will get 50% discount on gpus in a local store near christmas and i am kinda on budget ;(

My first build is this:
Case:CM HAF 912 Plus
CPU:FX 8350(would just take my old cooler or Hyper 212 evo if i dont need new psu)
Psu:Corsair 650W Rm series 80+ gold(not sure if i need new psu for this build if i dont pls say so then i am going with this build 100%)
Mobo:AsRock 970 Extreme4
Ram:2 sticks of ddr3 4g Kingmax

Second is this:
Case:same as above
Cpu:I5 4670k
Mobo:AsRock Z97 Extreme 3 or 4 both avilable
Cooler:Hyper 212 evo
Ram:same as above

Also you probably noticed my main problem is the psu since i dont know much about them.Even if i dont need new Psu for either 1 of them with current gpu, i plan on upgrading it once i get new gpu just to be on the safe side. Also sorry if formating is kinda bad i suck at it and my spelling isnt best :p

That PSU is fine unless you plan to run crossfire/SLi of very high end cards. You didn't list a video card though for either system and if these are meant for gaming that is going to be the most important component. 1 thing it is typically always a bad idea to use mismatched ram especially if it isnt the same speed/timings arent the same as it can cause instabilities and can even make your computer perform worse.

Yea i know that about ram but somehow i had 2gb stick fall into my hands and gave it a shot and it worked perfectly fine xD
Also gpu for now is 7770 for both build that is 1 part not changing and i still have no clue what to rplace it with but i got 2 months until the 50% discount so i got some room to think.
Also forgot 1 really important thing i play on resolution 1366x768 and dont plan on changing that unlees my screen dies or something :p

Well honestly there is really no point in high end hardware at that resolution. most dual core processors are capable of running modern games at high settings with those kind of resolutions. It might be better to use some of the money to purchase a decent 1080p monitor, as those systems are very overpowered for 720p gaming.

Yea i realise that but i want it to last until i finish college since i dont have much money on my hands and that is around 4 years so a bit of an overkill is fine with me since a lot of my gaming time is mmo where my cpu falls behind.
Anyways i think i will go with second setup since i dont need to be woried about psu and buy gtx 970 later as logainofhades sugested <3

Ok i decided in I5 build but i switched the case to Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 and it has preinstaled fans in it with and i was wondering how much power to they use and if my psu will be fine with this set up :p?
