Precaution to move my components from old cabinet to new one

Solution
Ok then.

Wear anti-static wrist strap attached to grounded case.
Handle hard drive with care, 1 drop can damage it.
Of course remove an GPU and addon cards before removing the motherboard.
Depending on orignal case you may have to remove memory or other items to be able to remove hard drive if its a tight fit.
Other then that it is really straight forward, remove what is in your way first.
Assuming case has no restrictions/fitment issues: I typically install power supply, motherboard, hard drive, dvd drive, add on cards, any other hardware, sata cables, power cables, front headers in that order.
if possible....... start machine for a minute to warm up the thermal paste. then shut down(unplug). unfasten and remove heat sink by slightly moving it left and right and slightly pulling up on it. wipe cpu clean. lift lever mechanism to release cpu. grasp edges of cpu in fingertips and lift out of the socket. look at bottom( pins ) to see none are bent. if they are they'll need to be straightened. take cpu to replacement board socket and install reverse of removal. reapply new thermal compound and reinstall pre-cleaned heat sink.

look for the triangle or tabs and knobs on cpu/socket to make sure it goes in properly.

so don't pull anything apart...........

disconnect all wires/cables from everything. remove power supply if you need to get the mess of wires out of the way. everything is screwed in. remove screws that hold board in ( leave ram/cpu/heat sink alone ). lift right edge slightly and pull up and a little to the right to clear IO panel ( which you will need to put in new case before motherboard goes back in ). again, everything is the reverse of removal.

I seen in some video that man is not wearing a anti static wrist band but he puts the component in an anti static bag,why is that so? Keeping it on a wooden desk would be a huge problem? And i dont have any anti static wrist band . Is there any other way?

I forgot to note, you will not need to remove the cpu from the motherboard.

If you are going from a dell, hp or other OEM computer manufactures case, then you may have to remove and replace heatsink if and only if it is a non standard one that has ducting on it to go out the back of the pc.

They are really cheap if you have any electronics store.

If you have an all metal watch or band you can use that plus a wire cliped to the braclet and the case, but the band is not tight on your wrist it is not going to help.

If you have a work area with no carpet, dont wear socks or any other high-static clothing then you should be ok, but its better safe then sorry.
