Hi people,
Love this forum, you have gotten me out of many issues before. This one is getting too much for me though.

So I treated myself to a top gaming rig and it keeps shutting down randomly, Like there is a small click (Like a trip) and complete shutdown.

This can happen 5 seconds into boot or any time after. I have an Corsair AX1200i which I thought would be the issue but the self test says it is all good.

my system is;
Crosshaie v formula-z, mobo
AMD FX 8350
16gb AMD R9 gaming RAM 2400Mhz
R9 295x2, GPU
Corsair AX1200i

All temps are good.

Iv'e been desperate to play with this rig since I ordered the parts and now this happens. FML haha

Cheers guys

Sounds like a faulty PSU, it should be able to run that rig fine. RMA the PSU

Thanks for the quick reply!

My only concern is that I heard that the R9 295x2 needs to be powered by 2 separate rails. Not entirely sure what this means or how to fix it if its the problem.
It's only mentioned on Linustecks youtube vids anyway. not in the manual at all

The same happened to me, I spent a lot of time searching what software was causing that issue, and finally all was becouse of a partially unplugged PCIe power cord. Before RMAing the PSU make sure you have all your cables where they should be.

Another quick reply, Thanks again mate!
You might be on to something here as when it first happened it only started to boot for about 5 seconds so i went round checking all connections. after pushing on my ssd power cable it suddenly started working.
I'll Do this again and see what happens

Can you try another card in this system and/or this card in another system?

Yeah already tried that but I wouldn't know if it works or not because sometimes its hours before anything happens. I just played ARMA 3 for a few minutes which is the first game i have played on it and it seems ok. I'm hoping that this has seen the gpu isn't the problem.
I'm thinking that Bencenum was right
Cheers

I was just tying that it was solved and that Bencenum was right when it happened again!!!!!!!!! AAAHHHHHH

It looks like the warranty only applies to the original purchaser and I bought it off ebay! Going to have to get in touch with the seller I think
