My Desktop PC's On/Off wiring got disconnected mistakenly while cleaning inside of the PC chassis, so I took it an electronics shop, I though it is a Minor thing and it will be easily done but the Guy started to solder it, I thought after soldering he would do the sleeving too but he said he can only do this much, so if any Hardware Expert can tell me, is it OK to keep it soldered or should I go to Computer Shop and get the sleeving done.

I have linked the - Dsektop PC On/Off Button Wiring Photo, so you can see it and advice accordingly.

It's a longevity issue. The metal part of the white wire looks pretty thin. Vibration from spinning fans, disk drives, etc. and/or air passing through the case may break it after some amount of time. Adding the sleeve would give it more mechanical support. If the sleeve wasn't there in the first place, that might be the reason it broke originally.

It will work fine as it is but who knows for how long? That depends on the vibration and air flow. IMO, better to have the sleeve and not need it than need it and not have it.

If the wire does break you can count on it being at the most inopportune time.

Thanks - thx1138v2 for an Early reply and an appropriate one as well. I agree with you, it was also soldered earlier and some vibrations must have caused them to disconnect, I would go for Sleeving, I wonder how much would it cost and can I DIY, have not done this before but would like to be independent from PC repair shops.
