cpu power cable question?

so i am trying to get my pc prettied up, i got some nice looking swiftech cables on the way for the 24pin mobo and the gpu cords, but i cant find a cpu power. can i use a 6+2 like what the gpu uses?

You shouldn't cables that didn't come with the power supply.

^This, unless the company sells separate cables approved for use with the PSU like Corsair does with its modular PSUs

Extensions are fine but use the cables that came with the PSU.
