No, no mods at all. just version 1.8 hosting a server with just total of 2 members

internet connection is enough to run this

I have another question. How much RAM is your server and game using? Also, what OS are you using? Since you only have 4GB of RAM, it could easily be taken up by Minecraft (1+ GB of RAM), your server (usually takes up 1GB of RAM), and your OS (which is anywhere around the 1GB range). I am pretty sure that you also have something open, such as a web browser. Google Chrome is a very big RAM user, just to let you know if you use it. I hope any of this helps.

Don't actually go buy more RAM as you don't even know if that is the problem yet. If I were you, I would reduce the amount of RAM allocated to your server since you only hold two people and reduce the RAM on Minecraft to see what happens. If reducing the RAM in Minecraft worsens the experience, try increasing the amount of RAM. I also highly recommend using Optifine. The mod itself is designed to improve FPS and is very modifiable to your experience. It does not require ModLoader or Forge. I hope this helps you!

i know with bukkit u can change the RAM from the Run.bat file. but since Bukkit and all those other servers are closed down on DMCA request. i got now a original mc server and dont know how to change it in there. im using windows 8.1 64Bit. most times when i play games i got 1GB of ram left. i have thinked about an upgrade on ram to 8GB but that isnt a option anymore. in the time i bought my 4Gb stick it costed 16 euro's now i went to the same stick and this cost now 40-50 euro ! thats a big chance. I contacted XFX and my local store where i bought my Card. and they both believe its a GPU problem. i got 3 months of waranty left. so they recommand me to send it back

This isnt the only problem i had btw

On windows 7 i had daily BSOD ( Atikmdag.sys ) while browsing. fresh install to win 8.1 and didnt saw it since then
On windows 7 i had signall loss. Upgraded to win 8.1 had 2 times a signall lose on 1-2 weeks ago on saturday and sunday Captured on film

and low FPS / sound lagg

i made alot of video's about my GPU problem those are on my channel

NOTICE there is also some other crap video's in it :)  its an accoun from 2008 :p

To change the RAM on a 1.8 Vanilla server, you download the .jar of the file.

Direct Download Link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/versions/1....

Then, you create a run.bat file with the following inside the file:

java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui

The -Xmx and -Xms is the amount of RAM allocated to the server. 1024 is equivalent to 1GB of RAM. I am pretty sure you know how to do this because you had a Bukkit server. Maybe, since you only have 2 people, you could try to go for 512M instead of 1024M.

Also, be sure to check if your GPU has the lastest updates. I highly advise updating your GPU from the manufacture website and not your provider's (XFX) website unless your GPU has a lot of features exclusive to being from XFX. I personally think that the problem is that your GPU is outdated.

Last thing to do would be to update Java. I usually highly suggest not updating Java because it is very vulnerable to viruses. So if you do update Java, be careful.

Hopefully this helps you.

everything is up to date. also the XFX website leads to AMD website. at the 1.8 vanilla i had with 2 players 130ms sec lagg. and the prompt told me i was 5xxxMS behind

i downgraded to 1.7.2 and the laggs are limited to 10ms so im playing lagless !

still my question is the stripes. haven't saw those since yesterday but is it a bug in 1.8 maybe ? or is it my GPU

In order to find out if it is 1.8 or your GPU, play the game while running 1.8 for a while. Then switch back to 1.7.2 and play for a while. If it is only 1.8, it is most likely a bug and you should definitely report it. If it is your GPU, you can try to switch it with your warranty.
