Hello there everyone, After searching through tons of forums around this forum and others.. i haven't found any clues how i was able to do this... (YES it is possible.. i did it on an older machine last year)
I remember upon booting pc windows logo briefly appeared ( it reads autoexec and other files) than went stright to dos fullscreen.
i remember adding programs in the autoexec and they ran.. But there is one critical tweak i frogot the name of the file. I had to run it through run command and an old black and red window appeared (full gui). that program edited another system file (an command prompt with settings) and it the fix was simple like window= 0 or 1. than it booted... i have a program that requires dos only (command prompt it crashes and gives errors) Anyone have any ideas of this precursor app? i found a website somwhere.. needle and haystack

I have tried making a dos bootdisk using usb and bootign from there. the program fully works. except it just runs off the flashdrive, which is much slower than the hard drive.

Thanks~

Hello there getochkn thanks for reply,

While i was starting to dread that answer... (dodged the actual question with a workaround) i could possibly seeing that working.. But id prefer something more native if possible..
I have used dosbox once for a game and encounted some issues.. for this software i need to have a fully funtinal pci card to go along with the software (unsure if support would work for this certain card its specially made and support may not work under and this even if dosbox does best to emulate dos but its not perfect)

If no other solutions appear ill gladly try this workaround

Topic still open if anyone knows what im talking about...

Thanks
