Loud fan ONLY when putting side panel on

hi

i mount my pc this week and i note a strange event, when putt side panel on the cpu fan increases is speed like crazy!
amd xf 6300 black edition
msi g46-970
cx 430
ati radeon hd 4800

I cant find a cause for this

Is it thermostatically controlled At the fan?
If so and the case is warm it will sense it and speed up.

If the intake or outlet is blocked load decreases and the fan speeds up a little.
Not a lot because it is a speed controlled DC motor. (Brushless)
