lost partitions after removing windows 8 and installing windows 7

Pretty sure you just right click the partition you want to delete, and choose delete.
Then I believe you can add it to another partition.
AFAIK, the only thing you can't do with Windows is shrink an existing partition.
Other than that, an aftermarket partitioning program.
Last a clean install, and partition first.

Just gave it a try, and I can delete the partition and reformat it, but I can't add to another partition.
Edit
Extend converts to Dynamic Disk, so don't use that unless you know what you are doing.

That's strange.
In that case I would download the hard driver manufactures test disk.
This can reliably test the drive, partition, and format back to factory specs.
Not sure what is going on, but if this can't fix it nothing can.
