Hi all,

I am looking for some advice/ guidance as I am looking to upgrade my memory to 32gb and I am confused by choice.

I am currently running a Intel Core i5 3570 CPU on a ASUS P8Z77V LX motherboard.

http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LX/specifica...

The motherboard only allows up to 1600mhz ram unless I overclock then I can use up to 2400mhz.

A friend recommended the following ram (even though my mobo doesn’t support it without overclocking and enabling XMP + voltage seems a bit high too?)

So he suggested I get this liquid cooler to go with it

I am worried about whether this is good advice or not. Can anyone offer any advice – Is this a good or bad idea? OR perhaps even be kind enough to recommend a better setup/ 32gb ram option to look into?

Many thanks,
Justin

With your CPU (the 3570 non K), best bet will be 1333 or 1600 for 32GB and preferably 1.5 sticks....to run 2133 you will normally need a K model CPU that is at least slightly OCed - I'd look to the GSkill Ripjaws X or Snipers
