Still frozen after a bootable disc performed a diagnostic test passing everything. I already used a previous restore point. I have not down loaded anything recently. I have not added any software or new components. I have used updates, however. Since the PC has passed all diagnostics, I don't want to use my system recovery discs just yet. I cleaned the inside with air and used my wrist band to unplug the hard drive cords and reconnected them. After I did that I was able to at least see my desktop. I tried to empty the trash and that's when It froze again. The task circle is going and I do have a cursor. Advice please. Thanks!

Neet a bit of details here.

"still froze" sounds like you had issues before you started talking about diagnostic test. Start at the beginning.

If you did a hard drive test and it passed, best thing to do is at last try a Repair setup of Windows. If that does not word note what programs you have installed, backup your files and bookmarks and re-install Windows.
