This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JTmh23

I put the RAM in the motherboard but the arm retention thing wont snap back into place. I tried pushing it into place myself but the RAM would need to go in half a millimeter more for it to do it. I tried pushing the RAM down more but it seems to be as far down as it would go.

Please help because I really need it!

also I just noticed that the gold things on the bottom of the ram are still showing. It seems to me that the ram is not going in all the way. Do you thing I should get a different kind of ram?

You are most likely putting the RAM the wrong way. There is a cut out on the RAM bottom - check if it matches the RAM slot and then put it in - RAM sticks have only 1 orientation they can be plugged in. Also, be sure to unlock the retention brackets before trying to install RAM.

Thanks for the advice. I checked and I am putting the RAM in the right way and I did unlock the retention bracket though. Do you have any more suggestions? Or should I get new RAM?

The RAM you have should 100% fit in that motherboard. The retention on the RAM slot has 2 holders which should click down. When pushing the RAM in, they will click up.

What do you mean 2 holders? There is only one retention bracket that can move. By the way I just looked and the RAM I got was not on the list in the MOBO manual. Are you sure I should not return these and get different ones?

The Snipers are fully compatible (have had numerous sets in my Hero mobos), make sure the notch lines up, and inset using a little more pressure, some DRAM slots are a bit tighter than others

I used more force one side at a time and they clicked in. Thanks to both of you!
