I am purchasing a new power supply. I am unsure about the power supply itself. I recently went to go check my computer and I have a 24 pin connection from my power supply to the motherboard. The motherboard I am trying to purchase does not tell me if its a 24 pin on or 12 pin.

I also wanted to know will I need any extra cables to power my hard drive. The power from my hard drive comes from the motherboard but I have another cable next to it that comes straight out of my PSU.

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-80PLUS-Certified-ATX12V-100-...

Im getting the 430watt PSU by the way. I currently am running a 305 watt PSU.

Id like if I could have some help. Thank You !

Are you sure I have a blue cable running from my HDD to my motherboard. Then another cable going from my HDD to PSU.

As long as your board uses Standard ATX connections, you are good to go.
