Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my pc with a brand new i7 4790k and an MSI MPower z97.
My actual specs therefore are :

i7 4790k + Noctua NH-D14
MSI MPOWER Z97
EVGA GTX660
2x4gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866Mhz
650W Cooler Master PSU

First thing i did was testing it. First of all i used Intel Burn Test both to see if temperatures were ok and to check gflops. Temps are ok, too bad it only scores 98-100gflops (120 shoulb be its standard). Also with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility i only score 700 marks when a friend of mine with i5 2500 gets 750. What could it be? I'm a little worried.

Make sure your Intel drivers are up to date, chipset drivers and everything.

Also, would be a good idea to have your BIOS updated.

As long as your computer isn't really slow, you should be fine. Your mileage may vary with different configurations though normally it should be around the standard.

I wouldn't worry if my scores deviate a little from the standard.

Also, make sure to set your power option settings to High Performance as well just to make sure.
