Hey everyone! I'm going to be building a new gaming PC in 6 to 9 months, and I can't decide which GPU to go for. My options are getting 2 Asus ROG Poseidon GTX 780s, and adding one later, or getting one Zotac AMP! GTX 780 Ti, and another later. I will adding a custom watercooling loop in the future, and I will be overclocking. And, yes, I have looked at the new GTX 970 and GTX 980. So is a 3-way SLI with GTX 780s better, or a 2-way SLI with GTX 780 Tis better.

Also, what is the best motherboard for under $150 for LGA 1150 that supports 3-way SLI?

Solution
If you insist on not getting the 980 despite it being cheaper and faster in 90% of gaming, I would advise you go with the the 780ti. As you add cards in sli and crossfire the results taper off.
