What title says, I just replaced a dead ax760 with a new ax760. All my parts seem fine and everything, but when I first booted it after I re installed the new supply, it went straight into the BIOS. Then, I went into the BIOS and directly booted from the SSD with windows, and it still just keeps booting into the BIOS. Also, the PSU fan starts to spin up at boot, then stops. Could anyone give me some suggestions?

well, i'm not really sure how to do a CMOS reset since I can't find the CMOS jumper, and I dont have something to jump it with. Is there any other way to clear the CMOS?
It's also giving me the debug code: AE which apparently means that it doesn't have a drive to boot up to?

Also, I noticed that when I go into the devices currently installed, it isn't showing my 1TB Western Digital Black Drive anymore. I didn't have anything installed on it, but I was just wondering why?
Specs:
4770k
GTX 780
Samsung 840 Pro
1TB WD Black
New AX760
16gb dominator plat RAM

First check your power and sata connections. makes sure to look in your mob manual and make sure your using sata 1 and not the asmedia port which are sometimes right next to the sata ports. Took me for ever to figure that one ut when i had a similar prob.

also if you cant find the jumper try getting into the bio's hit f5 to reset t defaults if that dose not work. try taking out your cmos battery, its the big round silver thing prob near your pce slots. leave it ut for 10 t 15 min then put it back and try again. Though 5 min might be enough time but a good 10 to 15 should rule that out.

Before removing the battery make sure to unplug your computers power supply!

So, do I just remove the battery, keep it out for 15 mins, then put it back in, the boot? or is it more complicated than that. And, do I have to do anything within the BIOS after I reboot it after clearing the CMOS?

Did you check to make sure your using the sata 1 slot. I had this same problem in till i looked at the manual and what i thought was sata 1 by just looking at the mobo was way off it was reversed in fact. If you have it plugged into a asmedia port it will not detect your hd. With out the drivers installed and to install the drivers you need windows up and running.

If you tried that then yea you just power down just make sure you unplug your power supply from the wall first. then just take the battery out for up to 15 min then should ensure to reset your cmos.

Alright, I just took it out, now i'm gunna wait for 10 more mins then boot up, is it supposed to just go into windows? or do I have to do something in the BIOS after I boot?

it will prob take you to a setup screen. where you enter the bios. just hit f5 to make sure everything is default. save and exit. then if all goes well it should restart and you should boot up.
Or if you checked your connections to the ssd/ hd and insured your connected to sata 1 and still no hd i would look into taking back your hd/sdd if possible

No, but every component is running fine, and I have used the exact same PSU for a year and a half before it died. and I think I know what the issue is now anyway. The machine isnt picking up the HDD that I think actually had the partition table installed on it, even though I installed windows on the SSD. Or, I think if I just re-install windows, then i'll be fine. I doubt that it's the PSU now.
