This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JTmh23

For some reason my ram wont fit into its thing. I am putting it in the right orientation but the ram wont go all the way down. This means that the retention arm wont lock into place.

Please help. I really need it.

It usually requires some force, are you applying force or being gentle?

They are compatible. No reason why they should not fit. Sometimes a little pressure is needed to get the RAM modules to seat and the latches to engage.

When you insert the RAM modules and they are about 80% in, apply pressure to one end until that end snaps in, then do the same for the other end. This is how I insert RAM modules.

Make sure the notch lines up with the protrusion in the DRAM socket and just insert them in adding pressure as needed till the clips lock themselves on, there have been sockets that are tighter than others and it can take a little more pressure :)
