Installing updates after every shut down?

Im new here so sorry if im posting this in the wrong section.

Whenever i shut down my computer i get the notification that updates are being installed, only problem is i dont think its installing anything because it says it every single time. Always the same message "installing updates 1 of 3". This only started a week or 2 ago.

Im on W7.

You can check and see what updates it's trying to install. It sounds like it's failing on an update, therefore attempting to re-install it every time.

Click on start, and type in "Windows update" in the search bar. Then select "windows update"
Check for updates and see if it's anything you need, or if it can be ignored (feel free to post here if you don't know if an update is a must)

When you're at the update screen, click on "change settings" on the left, and you can decide when/how/who can install updates. Hope this helps!
