But in all seriousness, $500 won't get you a good gaming PC. It'll get you something that'll run games 30fps on medium which is no better than a console. Save up $200$-300 more and you can get something awesome

on a mechanical drive, Sata 2 vs Sata 3 makes no difference, Mechanical drives cant saturate Sata 2 at all. And the Corsair 430W Is Tier 2-3, reliable and decent, even if it is not top-of-the-line.
