Hello,

I have a problem with my external USB drive as I'm unable to connect it to my PC. Other USB devices work OK on the same ports and I was able to connect it to my laptop though and it's working there.

I've been having similar problems on my PCs for quite a while, some devices work on some USB ports while other don't. For example the port my USB drive is working now on wouldn't accept a mouse for some reason etc.

Hey zydd. It sounds like the problem is in the USB ports in particular. Does the drive even power up when you can't open it on your PC? If not you could try different USB cables (although having in mind this also happens with your mouse is probably not the case here). When you connect the drive to the PC, open Disk Management and see if it shows up there, it might just needs a new letter to be assigned to the drive so that it shows up in Windows Explorer. Here's a link with instructions on how to do that: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/137/
You could also try rolling back or updating your USB drivers.

Hope that helps.
