Hello everyone,

I have recently just installed the nVidia GeForce driver 344.11 and have noticed some weird things happening. For example: Whenever I log in, the driver immediately crashes and sometimes never comes back. When the driver crashes I get yellow and red colored squares on my screen and other graphics glitches. Sometimes it does recover and when it does it usually doesn't happen again. I have noticed that when I allow my HDD to run on the login screen, the driver usually recovers. If it is needed, here are my specs:

-AMD FX-8350
-MSI GTX 760 OC
-Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM (16GB)
-Ultra X4 850w PSU

If any other specs are needed please let me know. I have tried almost anything on the hardware side but almost nothing on the software side except re-installing the driver. I have re-set all my components but have had no positive outcome. I really hope that this is a driver problem. If you have any suggestions what-so-ever, please let me know!

Thanks guys!

I just Rolled back the driver and it still failed. I will look into it more but I am getting pretty worried. Do you know of any way to test the GPU for faults?

Hello again!
I have happily found the problem!!! It was neither the driver nor the GPU, it was my PCI-e slot! Apparently the slot had gotten worn out and gave my GPU a bad connection to the motherboard thus a bad connection to the driver! I have swapped my PCI-e slot and it started up no problem! Thank you for your help, it was nice of you to give suggestions!
