and usually dinopc are quite expensive but i looked on their website and saw this PC, i know it has watercooling etc but it seems like its better than mine and a bit cheaper
can i hear your guys opinion on if its better or is my build, as i had support from other members to make this build for video editing and gaming:

https://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/-b-NEW-b-Infernodon-4790K-94p2186.htm

If so then it dont make sense as i thought BUILDING YOUR OWN PC is cheaper

but if so i wanted to build my own pc anyway just for experience and ive always wanted to just do it :)

That's fine, dude - I was just giving you my opinion, since you seemed to be looking for it. Especially when you were asking about price and I figured I could help you shave a little.

But yeah, considering that your rigs have basically identical specs but it's are slightly worse, and they have basically identical price, I'm not sure what you're concerned about. :)
1) No point in getting that i7, sorry to tell you. An overclockable i5 will perform pretty much exactly the same for gaming, and will only trail an i7 by perhaps 15% for video rendering times.

2) That power supply is also ridiculous overkill; you only needed a 550w PSU for that system.

Now, on to why theirs is 1) so cheap, and 2) sucks.

First of all, that "extreme overclock" is nowhere near, well, extreme. 4.5GHz is incredibly tame for that chip. Also, calling an H100i extreme water cooling makes me want to punch their website in the face. It's not even close to, well, even a beginner's kit.

The reason their rig is so cheap is because they're getting huge volume discounts on certain parts.

In addition, it's using a pretty cheap case, a not high end but not too awful motherboard, and a VERY cheap power supply which I would not recommend, as that particular lineup gets great reviews but has some issues with its capacitors.

It comes with Windows 8.1 with Bing, and with "bullguard internet security"... read "comes with annoying bloatware that will be a pain to remove."

All in all, I don't know why you think it's better than yours - the parts that make a difference for gaming are pretty much exactly the same. As for cheap[er, some of that is coming from volume pricing, some of that may be coming from you not finding the best options for parts. You can throw your build into PCpartpicker uk, and see what it thinks the best price is.

Okay firstly,

I have gone with that processor because firstly I plan on keeping this PC for a while, as I will be doing a lot of work including gaming and video editing, and with research and others giving me advice they said in the long run to just go with the 4970k, which I was fine with as I haven't had a decent computer in a long long time; and this is the time where I want something beasty that'll last. Same for the power supply in case i decide on getting two graphics cards or upgrading a certain part in the future

I'm glad you have said it isn't a good as the parts I have listed, I thought I spent way more money than what it's worth.

The DinoPC deal seems very good. I personally like closed loop water coolers, so that's a plus for me as well.

I think your PC is on a par with that one, though. they do have an M.2 drive which is slightly faster than a standard SSD.

Custom-built PCs are not - when you compare like for like - cheaper than manufacturers' PCs. They can buy components in bulk, often direct from the manufacturers, saving money in the process. For them, the OS may be as little as $20 - that's about what Dell pays for each Windows license. You will pay around $90.

The advantage of Custom computers lie mostly inthe fact that you can get exactly the components and colors that you want. More bling, so to speak. Maybe quieter than mass-market PCs. Custom coolers, etc.

WHen you get in to the >$2K price range, custom build for performance and specific to a user's needs comes into play and usually beat general-purpose pre-built computers.

:) , nah I'm from the UK dude, and it's been released kinda, but there are only like 2-3 places which are selling them, and they are still available for "pre-order" and have been since the card has been released.

Some are out like this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-pny-gtx-980-pcie-30-(x16)-7010-mhz-gddr5-gpu-1126-mhz-boost-1216-mhz-cores-2048-dp-dvi-hdmi

not sure what that make is as I want the EVGA http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-evga-gtx-980-superclocked-pcie-30-(x16)-7010mhz-gddr5-gpu-1241mhz-boost-1342mhz-cores-2048-dp-dv

but still isnt in stock! darn ^_^

Most of the cards that you're going to find right now are just going to be stock cooler, stock PCB... but that's great as the stock cooler is a thing of miracles on a card with such a low TDP.

The difference in brands only matters for warranty - the stock clocks really shouldn't matter that much, because there's so incredibly much overclocking headroom on that card that you can give it an extra couple hundred MHz without even really thinking about it.

Oh right okay then, so you're saying that basically PNY is as good as Evga?

If you're buying the STOCK card, then yeah, pretty much, since it's just the card from Nvidia that they turn around and sell. :)

They may have a slightly worse warranty, but not too much to worry about, they're still a decent brand.
