Hi guys, I'm from Singapore so the prices may be abit different than usual. The CPU and Mobo come at a bundle price of ~350 to 370. I'm not too sure which Mobo to choose from though. I won't be OC-ing and I'm just looking for a simple, reliable and easy to use Mobo. The 7 I've rounded down to are as follows:- (PRICES ARE BUNDLE PRICES WITH THE CPU) ASUS B85M-E ($349) ASUS H87-PLUS ($361) MSI B85-G41 PC MATE ($338) MSI B85-G43 ($343) MSI H87M-G43 ($361) MSI H97 PC MATE ($345)
ASRock B85M Pro 4 ($356) ASRock H87M Pro 4 ($366)

I'm looking to be using the PC for med-high quality settings gaming at 1920 x 1080 P and other general work i.e, presentations and normal university school work. I was considering buying a sapphire r7 265 (for 229) first hand but there are second hand r9 270X for about the same price. If I could get a sapphire toxic r9 270X I might as well top up those 11 bucks compared to a r7 265. I would appreciate any other opinions on the other parts too! :D My total budget for the build is about 1300 but I wouldn't mind keeping it down abit. (School is expensive XD) Thanks in advance :)

H87 Plus is the best MoBo from that list, that is why it was my 1st recommendation, yes, even when 5th gen releases, it'd be as good. Also, I can put on another 270X in future to increase performance, when I upgrade down the road.

G series is excellent no doubt, but there's little use for that unless you operate your build 24/7, that's when Gold ratings come to work. even SeaSonic M12II or S12II 520W will take the load with ease. You can save some bucks there, 620W if you'll likely upgrade to a better GPU. You'd need 650W or higher for Crossfire anyways. And the brands and PSUs suggested are all great quality, feel free to go with SeaSonic modular 520W or 620W.

If you like white cases, have a look at Bitfenix Shinobi, though I'm...
I'd choose H87 Plus from the MoBos are the best, great build quality and many good features, besides being solid for any 4th gen CPU. You can go with H97 PC Mate if you want upgradbility to 5th gen, but you'd loose out on CF capability.

Build looks good, no need for af CPU cooler with a locked CPU, drop that.

The PSU is overkill for the system, a XFX Pro 550W or EVGA 600B would handle this with ease. SeaSonic 620W for more headroom for almost any single GPU in future.

Why such a costly case? Corsair 200R or Fractal R4 or Bitfenix Ghost would do. There're many good $50 cases you can choose from.

By saving on above, without compromising on quality or performance, you should be able to get first hand R7 270x or even 280 :)

Hmm I don't foresee myself wanting to fork out money for a 5th gen processor so I think I'll go with your suggestion on the ASUS H87 Plus. The 4th Gen Cpu should still be reliable when the 5th gen comes out right?
Yeah I was wondering about the cooler since I won't be overclocking anyway. That's 60 bucks saved XD.
I chose to go up to 650 upon the reccomendation of a friend. Was originally planning on a seasonic g series 550w. Wanted to go with something modular and had a 80+ Gold rating. The shops here don't have XFX or EVGA PSUs :( I'll consider going with the seasonic modular 620W which is abit cheaper than the g series 550.
If the 550 is enough I might just go with that though haha. I liked the review by linustechtips on the g series 550.
The Fractal R4 costs 145 here and that's the non window one XD. I'll take a look at the 200R. It costs 85 so that'd help me cut costs.
I Chose the chaser because i liked the white colour and it was one of the cheaper cases here haha.
Thanks so much for the help! I was totally lost on this build and really needed guidance so thank you!

If you like white cases, have a look at Bitfenix Shinobi, though I'm certain it'd be costly. One case which'd definately be in your range would be NZXT 210/220/ Elite White, its a mere $30-40 here, should not be much more than $60-70 at your place.

Okay I've finalized my build and the last few changes I made are that I'm going with the corsair 200R case and the modular seasonic 620W PSU. Basically I just went with almost all your suggestions haha. I didn't wanna go with the nzxt case because i prefer how the corsair 200r looks :) Thanks so much for the help and helping me finalize my build! Best solution goes to you my friend :)
