I am just curious on what is is the best performing Intel Core i5 CPU on the market or was on the market? I am referring to CPU`s that or non overclockable or the K versions i mean by stock speeds is what i am looking at :)  What i5 is best? I have heard the i5-4690 is the best i5 on the market at the moment but who knows what tomorrow brings, lol.

Yes currently the 4690 is the best non-OCable i5 CPU you can get.

Yeah the 4690 is the best at stock currently for non overclock able CPUs but the 4690k is better even if never touched for overclocking.

How is that so? And i have the i5-4690, do you think it will handle games that require a good amount of CPU performance? My GPU is an MSI R9-280

i expect that i5 4690 will last long long time . DirectX 12 and Mantle more and more move the graphics processing from tthe CPU to GPU , so it is good news too .

i5 4690 has a great single core performance ! Also enough performance as a whole .

"What is the best possible non-overclockable Core i5 that money can buy?"

That's the 4690, given that it has the highest clock speed.

Perhaps the real question is "which Core i5 has the best price/performance ratio?" That depends on where you are in the world, but here in the UK the 4570 makes a good case for itself.

Thanks, for the help :)  Also i would suggest never using that site because they use the Intel Core i5-4440 in disguise of every Intel CPU on that exists. Like for example the link you sent me was the Intel Core i5 4690 VS the AMD FX 8350 but if you click on the so called "i5 4690" it will actually go to the "i5 4440" meaning that they are to lazy and use the specs from the "i5 4440" for almost everything :(
