Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard with an AMD FX-8350 cpu.
There's s a XFX HD7970 gpu on it and i have 8 gb of ram (DDR3-1600).
Now i have bought 16 gb of ram (DDR3-1600), but now my pc won't start at all.
All i got were two long beeps and no signal to my monitor.
My mb supports up 32gb and Windows Home Premium 64bit supports up to 16gb.
The store where i bought the ram have tested it and there's nothing wrong with it.
Can someone help me to solve this?

More about : start 16gb

Can you get into your BIOS at all?

No, i don't even get a chance. The only thing i noticed when i got into my bios with the old memory, that the system voltage was set to manual. It told me with red blinking letters. I have set it to auto. Does that make any difference?

If you can not get into your BIOS then it can only be one of a few things.

1. Faulty RAM, which your store has disproved.
2. Faulty RAM slot? Possible?
3. A change in the BIOS recently that may cause instability.

Try resetting your BIOS with the 16GB RAM in and see if that improves things.

Remove 1 stick update the BIOS. Then put them back in. See if it works
