Well, since you insist on the K i7 I'd go with the 4790k, as you get 500 MHz stock overclock for around 10 dollars. I suggest a air cooler, like the CM hyper 212 EVO, and a 750 W PSU will probably be fine. Next time, can you please post the Partlist link, at the top of the export pane?

PS The 980 you picked appears to lack pricing.

Hey there Bradley Kars,

I would say that this is a bit overkill for regular gaming/plex server, although it never hurts to have more juice than needed.
I don't believe you would need to OC the CPU so you can drop to a non-k version and lose the CPU cooler (the guys with more experience with plex servers should give you more info on that).
IMHO 16GB is great for what you need, plus you have room for expansion.
The SSD is a great option. I would consider looking at WD AV as it is designed specifically for smooth, continuous media streaming (up to 16 simultaneous HD streams). I've put a link at the bottom for you to check it out.
I would second @Alpha3031 on getting the 9xx series as, according to tom's benchmarks, it delivers better performance/price ratio. You could even go for SLI and improve both gaming performance and image processing.
On full power (without OC) your system should consume around 480W. I think the 1000W PSU is an overkill, even after OCing the CPU. It does give you more security and more room for expansion (i could even be used in future builds). I would say a good gold or platinum certified 800W-850W PSU would also do the job for you.

Hope this helps,

PS: I really like the color scheme of the build.

The msi 980 has been sold out or something they exist but aren't being sold anywhere atm and I plan to over clock the presser that's why I was sticking with the k as everything I'd read said it had a better over clock but I'll check out the 4790

That seems like a good build with good potential for future upgrades :)
I'll go ahead and also suggest checking out the 4790k as it does provide more benefits for a slightly higher price.

Hope this helps,

Okay I switched to the 4790k, anything else you guys see? I'm looking for an amazing system that won't need to be upgraded for a while. This is supposed to be the center of a whole home entertainment center and gaming consol killer so I'm really trying to go all out!
