Stick with GTX 770 or try my luck at a GTX 970?

Hey guys, so i've got a MSI 4gb GTX 770 right now and it's holding up pretty well, but then I saw the GTX 970's benchmarks and holy hell. It shreds my card to bits.
I only bought the GTX 770 last year in December from MSY, so my 1yr warranty still holds.
It has a loose fan bearing, but nothing that really classifies as a major fault worth a refund.
What do you guys think I should do? Is it worth trying for a refund? Or will the GTX 770 hold up until 2016 when the next series comes out?

PS: I won't purposely damage my card to try to fraud my way into warranty, seems silly.

Solution
I would RMA my card and see what MSI says, if they give me a new one, then great, sell it. Get a GTX970.

If they refund, then put that money to a GTX970 anyway.

I've never RMA'd something, and also, I bought it from a store called MSY. Not sure how they would handle things, heard their warranty policies kind of suck.

Did you Twin Frozr fan spit any lubricant at any stage? Mine did but I replaced the fan with a 3rd party one before the fan could break. Apparently that particular model of Twin Frozr had a tendency to eject some lubricant if the card ran at slightly higher than normal fan speeds. ie >50% maybe

If there is a loose fan bearing I would definitely get that fixed. Better safe than sorry.

And if they upgrade you to a 970 even better. I just bought a msi 970. I should get it today hopefully.
