I'm just speccing out a new build with an Asus Z97 Pro and Noctua NH-D15.

The Noctua comes with a low noise adapter, is this still an option to use if I use the Fan Xpert3 CPU fan header or will the motherboard handle the noise reduction by limiting the PWM fan speed?

Solution
fan xpert software will handle it.
if i use the second cpu fan header it dont control speed on my old z87 motherboard but u might be fixed now.
dont need to use the cpu headers anyways, plug it in anywhere.
fan xpert let you slow down any fan untill it dont spin, so you can have any rpm you want. pwn or not. often is pwm worse than not.
