I am building a gaming/ video editing pc for myself and want to know if water cooling is worth it, or if it is able to be transportable. Can i move a pc with water cooling pc to college and back, or will it leak?

If your wanting to go for High/extreme overclocks then yes go for watercooling, to do a full computer your looking around 400-800 dollars. Yes computers with custom water loops can be transported, while its not easy the loop does add some weight to the case so just keep that in mind.

Since your at college I would stay with a good air cooler. There are always the what ifs, what if.... some A-hole cuts one of the lines, a pump fails, you get a leak, if you have fill port someone could put something in the coolant. A pump failing will be the biggest problem, if one fails you have to drain the loop, buy and replace the pump, then refill the loop. all of that take around a week to do so if you can live without a computer for a week and want to chance it. Ive had pumps that last 3 years running 24/7 others that last 3 months, its just a luck of the draw.

Other things people don't think about is custom loops are high maintenance, loops need to be drained & cleaned once a year. after transporting you should always do a leak test before fully turning the computer on.

Unless your going to overclock extremely you do not need to use liquid cooling. If you did you woukd probably want a good
custom loop. They are not cheap. I have an air cooler that will take me to 5.3 Ghz should I choose to go there and provided my Fx 9590 will also get me there.
