Hi all,

I'm currently running 2 x GTX 680 4GB cards with an i5 2500 CPU to support 3x23" Acer monitors in an Nvidia surround configuration.

The next big game I'm looking to play, in 3D, is The Witcher 3. To this end I'm looking at building a new rig to allow me to play this game in 3D across multiple monitors at around 60FPS. I'm currently leaning towards the i7 4790k CPU but I'm not sure how well two GTX 980s in SLI will handle 3D and Surround gaming?

Will the 256bit Memory Interface Width of the 980 be a problem? Should I hold off until later in the year for possible TI cards?

Thanks in advance for you help

The memory bandwidth won't be an issue. The 1150 chipset of the 4790k and the motherboards will be able to handle it pretty easily, even in SLI. The cards themselves will be able to anally destroy any game you want to play.

I would go ahead and get them, honestly, as theres no news on the release dates for the TIs.

Two 980s will easily run what your looking for with ease, and none of the memory bandwidth should be a problem.
