asus laptop for £300/$500 for gaming

a friend wants a good laptop from asus which is capable of gaming at £300/$500.
what would be the best model?

What kind of gaming? Not going to get much beyond an entry level system with that amount. Certainly nothing with a discrete video card.

Well, in that range you don't have a lot of options, ASUS offerings vary by region quite a bit. Look for a computer with Intel HD4400 or better or the highest numbered A-Series chip you can find. A10-5750m would probably be the top end for the budget.

Is that even possible? Asus does charge quite a bit for their laptop and Batman is quite gpu intensive.

Minimum requirements were an 8800GT, Intel HD4000 is listed two tiers lower. HD4400 on some of the Haswell chips is clocked a little higher, should be around the bare minimum.

Better performance, but worse battery life, out of the AMD A series when it comes to games. Entry level gaming laptops are about double the budget here.
