so your old ram is running at 1066 CAS7 and you bought 1600 CAS11. Are you trying to run both sticks together or replacing the old stick with the new one. You might be able to put the new stick in, move the jumper to reset the bios and then see if the computer will boot.

Hi, thanks for the response
I tried running them together and the new one solo, both cases are the same (fail)
btw, jumper? Does every computer have that?

1 sec let me look your MB manual

make sure the system is turned off, the cmos/ bios reset is it JBAT1 located right under the IDE1

Clear CMO S Jumper: JBAT1
There is a CMOS RAM onboard that has a power supply from an external battery
to keep the data of system configuration. With the CMOS RAM , the system can
automatically boot OS every time it is turned on. If you want to clear the system
configuration, set the jumper to clear data.

You can clear CMO S by shorting 2-3 pin while the system is off. Then return to
1-2 pin position. Avoid clearing the CMO S while the system is on; it will damage
the mainboard.

So there is a little jumper with 3 pins, move the jumper from 1-2 to 2-3 for about 30 seconds with the system off, then move the jumper back for 2-3 to 1-2 and turn the system back on. this will set the bios back to default settings.

I have a feeling its just not going to like the new ram. I was hoping that it would down clock the ram to a slower speed and then allow you to go from there but it looks like the bios wont do that.

If you can I would take/send the ram back and get a slower speed, ether a 1066 or 1333. 1333 is the fastest ram your board will support but is a OC on the ram, to be safe I would get more 1066 ram.

Also what operating system are you running?
