MSI R9 290 Gaming 4GB making noise?

So i recently bought a R9 290 msi gaming card, and its making some sort of ticking noise, why is this happening? is my card damaged/or being damaged? please help

Have you tried stopping the fans briefly while it's running? This is just to make sure it's not any sort of fan problems.

Are you sure the noise isn't coming from the PSU? My old MSI 290 made my PSU tick, probably because of the high power requirements. If you're sure it's the card, I'd RMA it.

ok, took my PSU off of like my power brick thingy and put it straight into the wall, re-checked the 6 and 8 connector seemed fine, ticking only happens when in demanding applications. Should i send it back?

Nonono. Do NOT open the PSU.
If it is the PSU making the noise, I'd return it and get a better one like the one in my sig.
If it's the card, RMA it.
Just don't open the PSU, it's dangerous.

alright after inspection , there seems to be nothing, except this little plastic sheet attached to the fan. any one know what it is?
