Currently, I'm using Sony Xperia SP and charging it using the stock charger. As it turns out, the charging time is quite a lot and also, when I use my phone while charging, it discharges. I tried using a Samsung travel charger which worked out pretty great. I want to know if they're safe for everyday use.

P.S. I do have a habit of connecting my phone to the charger when not in use or when I'm home.

As long as the chargers are UL listed - they should be fine. There are some "cheap knock-offs" that are not properly certified that shouldn't even be used for traveling.....In reality, other than the ability to change input voltages for traveling, a travel charger should be the same as the regular charger.

Most phones and tablets are capable of a 2A charge - some stock chargers are only 1A - they charge quite a bit faster at 2A. You just need to make sure that you have a "quick charge" cable/adapter for the phone/tablet.
