I recently purchased more RAM for my computer and realized I ordered the wrong product.

I currently have 2x4GB HyperX Fury RAM installed. I thought I ordered another 2x4GB of the same RAM, but instead ordered 1x8GB. Will installing my 1x8GB work without any performance issues? Or do I need to return and get another 2x4GB (or perhaps order another 1x8GB)?

Hardware:

Processor: AMD FX 8320
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-970-UD3
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 1600MHz DDR3 (2x4GB and 1x8GB)

If you need any other info, let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I would recommend returning it and getting 2 x 4GB.

Why did you believe you needed additional RAM? 8GB is usually sufficient. Are you running VMs or some other RAM intensive activity?
