My build:
Asus rampage iv black edition
Asus gtx 780
Ripjaw z cas 8 4x4gb at 1866mhz
Cpu intel i7 4820k 3.7ghz

My ram reads as 1600mhz instead of 1866mhz on the main page of the bios info. I went to tweak option and changed it from auto to 1866mhz. Now it says 1872mhz. I dont mind that its 6mhz higher but should i leave it? Or use xmp profile? How do i xmp? And will it fix it to 1866?

Thanks!

Base clock will never be exactly 100Mhz, so you will see a little drift in the numbers. 1872 is 1866 for all intents and purposes.

There should be an option to enable the XMP profile right there in the BIOS.

sounds fine even if there is a slight difference in the numbers which is common. No need to change to XMP profile.

Try XMP , THAT'S what the option is for.

Depends if the timings were handled. The profile might have them a little lower.
