Hi i have recently overclocked my cpu and i beleive its worked but in my system properties it still shows this

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHZ 4.50GHZ

has it started using the 4.50GHZ or is it still using the 3.40GHZ

Also my RAM is 2100MHZ but in my bios it is only showing 1333MHZ. it is doing the same for my friends RAM as well. is this just an idle thing and does it pickup when being used?

More about : overclock correctly

I don't get why it does that, even on my overclocked Pentium D it did that. I believe what it's saying is the 3.40 is the stock clock while the 4.50 is the current clock rate it's at. (Don't use Windows for clock speeds, use CPU-Z, that will tell you the truth.)

As for the RAM, did you enable the XMP profile?

System properties will only display the information on the chip. CPU-Z or other similar applications will tell you the current frequency.

Ram should be static, it depends on how you overclocked it. If you told the system you had 1333 and then ran up the base, but I don't think you can do that with Haswell that easily. Are you using one of the non-standard BCLKs?

Get realtemp and run that. It'll tell you all of your core temperatures which is nice to know, and it will tell you your current processor frequency and multiplier.
