Hello guys,

I am having a hard time to decide whether to buy the intel 5960x chipset or the 5930k. And which motherboard would benefit me more? The Asus Rampage V or the Asus X99 Deluxe? Im mixing in a Evga Gtx 980 SC with that.

I am upgrading from my old computer:

Intel DX58SO2 Extreme motherboard,
Intel i7 990 3.3Ghz,
Intel Cooler Xts100h,
ASUS gtx 680 2GB,
Corsair Vengence DDR3 12GB 1600Mhz,
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 240Gb SSD,
800W Power Supply

I use the computer at max, meaning I love to use max settings while playing video games, sometimes I deal with multimedia works, and I am always multi tasking

I want to upgrade for something that will rely for the next 3-4 yeara without an issue. Thats why I am planning on an upgrade

Maybe you can count on your CPU another 3-4 years , cuz i find it OK but i am searching the single core result .

Edit :
i found it

Just overclock a little , no need of a new CPU but a new GPU like GTX 970 .

I would suggest using the new Devil's Canyon CPUs. Specifically one of the new i5s. Just because the mobo and chipset is said to last for the next couple Intel generations. And of course, I would upgrade GPU to 980. GPU is priority though. CPU will last if you don't have too much money to spare.

I appreciate your time and research. I could easily overclock mine until somewhat a year. But since im living in mozambique ( right next to South Africa, Lol), and I have a friend in the USA right now I was kind trying to get his help to bring me some new specs... thats why I was having a hard time. I dont want to get in a position where my computer throws up farts because it cant go on and I wont have any1 to ship me new items..
