Hey guys and gals. i got a few questions. i currently own msi gtx 770 2gb. Core clocked at 1202mhz and memory 7100~mhz. While playing skyrim i noticed that my vram was fully used. Is this going to be problem? and should i start to consider buying 970 for the 4gb of vram?

I would guess you are either playing at higher than 1080p or maybe using mods? If so, then the 970 would give you better performance thanks to the efficiency of the GPU and the extra VRAM.

Many of the skin packs and texture packs for skyrim will suck up that VRAM. Yeah , it will become a problem with other games too as time goes on.

Its only a problem if your performance is suffering. If your VRAM is full but you're still well over 60 FPS, then it really doesn't matter. I doubt you need the 970, but if you're going to buy something new in the $300 range, that's the one to get.

Skyrim isn't really a great indication of what to expect from other games, as you can load up as many mods as you want and cause VRAM usage to go through the roof.
