hello guys, so i have this really confusing problem with a recently bought Xbox 360 controller, supposedly original, when i plug it in my computer it doesn't work at all, even the green indicator doesn't light, I've tried plugging it in all my USB ports, the front and the back ones, even the USB 3, but nothing changes, and oddly enough, when i plug it in i hear a very high pitch sound coming from the controller , but i didn't stop there, i tried it in my laptop, and the very same thing happened, so i thought it was a defective one, and i was about to ask for a refund, but just before that i tried it in a friend's computer and it worked flawlessly, which left me really confused
FYI i have Windows 7 Home Premium on both my computers with all the important updates installed, and my friend has Windows 7 Professional
please i'm out of ideas, so if anyone here has encountered this problem before, or have any idea how to make it work, will do me a great favor

This is a wired controller, and not a wireless through play&charge right?

by the way, i personally think that my USB ports don't have enough power, if it's the case, is there anything i can do to make them provide more juice?
