I just bought an R9 280X and its advertised to have a 384 bit bus width, well after installing the card and downloading the driver I checked Catalyst control center and it is showing my total memory bandwidth at 297.6 Gbyte/s... Is this normal? are the bit bus and memory bandwidth the same thing? all the other specs are correct the memory size, the core clock, the memory clock. I am new to computer building, so there is a lot I don't/don't understand. Any help with these question would be much appreciated. My build specs are down below, if they matter
