Yes it has adequate PCIe slots for a pair of GTX 980 in SLI. The CPU however determines the speed it's going to run at
For 5820K it's x16/x8
5930K is x16/x16
On the back of the GTX 980, when the cards are placed close together in SLI, remove the cover that's near the rear of the card to improve airflow.

I got the i7 5930k, looking at the board the spacing looks alot smaller then I anticipated, just worried if my cards are going to be starving for cooled air until I get it on water in a few months
