MB: Biostar TA970 5.3
RAM:g skills ripjaws 2x4gb(8gb)
CPU: AMD 8350
PSU:Cooler Master GX - 750W Power Supply
Case:ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253

So everything is plugged in..i've checked millions of times now but i start it up and get 1beep, followed by my gpu fans stopping then 8beeps(display error?), however if i turn on the computer without the 4plug power into the motherboard the gpu fans do not stop but i get no beeps and no display(obviously because im missing power to the mobo) any ideas guys?
help:(

try removing one ram stick. If that doesnt work then try installing that one removing the next. I have found usually the RAM is the issue. If that doesnt work then try putting the GPU in the other PCIe x16 slot.

What GPU do you have? and did you triple/quadruple check to make sure it is plugged in?

yeah both lights on the GPU are green, its a ASUS DirectCU II R9280-DC2T-3GD5 Radeon R9 280 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5. I've tried switching the ram, and using just 1stick, ive tried both slots for GPU aswell.

Ok, this may sound weird, but I had a similar problem and it was my sata cable not being propperly plugged into my motherboard/hdd. I would give that a try.

no luck:(  why will the fans on the gpu spin if the 4pin motherboard connector isnt in but then when its connected it spins for maybe a second before it turns off, then spins again when i turn it off?

Do you have another GPU you can test with to see if the one you have is bad? Also, when you put your computer together did you make sure to use the standoffs?

The reason your fans on your gpy are spinnig is because when your cpu connector is not plugged in it has only a power signal from the PSU telling it to spin. When starting up they will automatically spin at full until they get a signal from the cpu as to what they should be running at.

You may also have a bad CPU come to think of it. I dont suppose you bent any pins upon installation did you?
