Upgrading motherboard to upgrade my cpu

Im running 2 7970s with a i5 2500k,@4.5 there is a bottleneck so Ill probably upgrade my cpu and my motherboard ,

motherboard is overpriced for what you get asrock extreme4 z97 would do the job just as well at $130

5820 below. still 6 core 2011 socket... would rock for a long time. Make sure you get a socket 2011 MOBO

i would disagree because CPU/mobo cost has very bad cost/performance

So, a 4790k is enough for 2 7970s compares to a i5 2500k @ 4.5 ?

maximus match my rig, so I guess im gonna go with it, since it looks like a good motherboard, I always go to 3dmark website then hardwares and most popular tested hardware and it was the first one so ..

this would proly match just as well Asus makes best motherboards but they are overpriced for what you get
